About EngSoc!
The Guelph Engineering Society (EngSoc) is a student-run organization dedicated to enhancing the academic, social, and professional experience of engineering students at the University of Guelph. Our vision is to empower students through a strong, supportive, and inclusive community that fosters connection, collaboration, and pride in engineering.

Our mission is to inspire continuous growth in all our members by providing opportunities for leadership development, academic support, industry engagement, and social involvement. From organizing events like Frosh Week, professional development workshops, and mental wellness initiatives to supporting design teams and student advocacy, EngSoc strives to create a well-rounded and enriching environment.

Whether you're looking to connect with peers, develop new skills, or make a lasting impact on the engineering community, the Guelph Engineering Society is here to support you every step of the way.

WHAT DO WE DO?
CONFERENCES
As a member society of both the CFES (Canadian Federation of Engineering Students) and ESSCO (Engineering Student Societies Council of Ontario), there is plenty of opportunities to connect with and travel to other member schools!

CLUBS
We support all of our member clubs to find talented individuals, get funding, and promote individuals with experiences that empower both your resume and the society.

COMPETITIONS
The Guelph Engineering Competition takes place every fall, and everyone who wins in their designated competition has a chance to win at OEC (Ontario Engineering Competition), with a further chance to win at CEC (Canadian Engineering Competition)!

ADVOCACY
The Guelph Engineering Society has many charity events throughout the year, such as fundraising for Marriane's Place through our teeter-totter-a-thon.

SOCIALS
The Society hosts many social events throughout the school year, where members, faculty, and alumni can join and take a break from studying.
