You’ve been growing your Mos all month long – now it’s time to shave them! Movember wrap-up will be on Tues Nov 29 at 11:30am in the EngSoc lounge. You’ll be able to bid to shave iconic moustaches (Matt Demers anyone?)… Bring your spare change and donate to a good cause! Cash donations are still being accepted in the EngSoc office until Dec 1.
Coffee House this Friday (November 18th) at 7pm!
Coffee House is an event where students are able to showcase their artistic and musical talents. Come out and enjoy the live music and artistic talents of your engineering peers! Remember to bring your own mug for some free hot chocolate and coffee! Just to let everyone know sign-up for performing is now closed, but there is another Coffee House in the winter semester that you will have a chance to perform at if you missed out this time.
Looking for visual artists!
We wanted to ask if there are any students that would be interested in displaying their artwork during the event? This is a nice chance to show your peers how talented you are and get some recognition for your amazing artistic skills! TRACTOR TUG FOR TOTS
Let out your inner Aggie
Tractor Tug for Tots is a fundraiser held every year by the Ontario Agriculture College. It is on November 16th this year (THAT IS THIS WEDNESDAY). It will only take 10 minutes of your time and all proceeds go to Trillium (Childhood Cancer Support Centre). Sign up will be taking place at the engsoc office. The event will take place in front of Richards, don’t worry you won’t miss it, the tractors are huge! Time of event will be released Wednesday morning!
Have old Textbooks?
Donate any of your old textbooks to students in need. Half of the textbooks collected will be sent to students in Africa and the other half to students in need in North America. Please drop off textbooks at the engsoc office in the labelled bin.
FIRST YEAR HELP SESSION
Next Wednesday November 23rd, at 5:30 pm there will be a help session for first years! This will include how to study for finals, recover from midterms, as well as general advice!
The soccer tournament is this Saturday from 5-8 pm! Sign- up at the engsoc office. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for faculty members! ALSO non engineers may sign up as a part of an engineering team. Tickets for non engineers are $10!

CHEERS AND GEARS
Yes that’s right, this year Cheers and Gears is putting on Grease, the engineering version of the musical. Auditions for the cast will be on November 16th (location to be announced, but in THRN) between 6-9pm. Audition slots are 10 minutes and will have a singing and script reading portion (music track and script will be given to you in advance). Auditions/sign up/info meeting for the extras will be on November 18th at 9pm.
