FRANK & STIENS GNCTR FUNDRAISER
Come one, come all to Frank & Steins to help support your favourite Concrete Toboggan Team!
On Monday Nov. 5th, Franks will be selling $3.50 bar rails with all entrance cover and coat check proceeds going towards the Guelph Engineering Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race Team.
Come out and show off your dance moves, get jiggy with the team, and enjoy a night out with your fellow Gryphs! The event will be 19+ and a $5 cover.

GIS OPEN LAB TUESDAY
Guelph Innovations Society will be having open lab hours from 10:15 AM to 7 PM in RICH 1529. Drop by our lab space to work on school projects, use hand tools, and learn about producing your projects on our 3D printers.
GOLDEN GEARS – TRICK OR TREAT
Trick or Eat is an annual, student-led, national event dedicated to helping the 40% of Canadian post-secondary students who experience food insecurity. On Halloween night (October 31st), instead of candy, students from UofG will go door to door to collect food for the Campus Food Bank. GUELPH ENGINEERING COMPETITION
The Guelph Engineering Competition (GEC) is set to take place on Saturday, November 3rd! GEC will consist of 4 competitions: Junior Design, Senior Design, Consulting Engineering and Re-Engineering. Junior Design is open to 1st and 2nd year students, Senior Design is open to students in 3rd, 4th and 5th Years. The Consulting and Re-Engineering Competitions are open to students enrolled in all years.
The 1st Place Winners from each competition, will represent Guelph Engineering at the Ontario Engineering Competition. A registration fee of $20 per group (3 to 4 members) needs to be paid at the time of registration! Don’t have a team? Don’t worry! Individual registrations will be accepted and we will create teams! Registration will begin Thursday October 18, 2018 at the EngSoc Office and will continue till Wednesday October 31, 2018. Spots are limited! So register as soon as possible!

LAB FUND FOCUS GROUP
The Lab Fund focus group will be on Thursday, October 30, 2018 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.
Lab Fund is always improving and we’d love to hear your feedback. If you would like to discuss the current Lab Fund procedure, this is a great place to do it. We will collect the meeting minutes and use them to build on Lab Fund. It is also a great opportunity to discuss motions for SAGM.

Leather Jacket sales are tomorrow in the Engineering Wellness Lounge from 11:00AM to 3:00PM. Prices vary and there is a deposit. Debit, credit or cash is fine.
PUMPKIN CARVING COMPETITON
Think you can carve the best Halloween pumpkin? Gather a team of up to 5 friends and come out to the Wellness Lounge on October 30th to compete in EngSoc’s Pumpkin Carving Contest! It’s $5/team, and the team that carves the best pumpkin will win a prize. Sign up begins Monday, October 22nd at the EngSoc office! 🎃
SEMI ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Semi-Annual General meeting will be on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.
The Semi-Annual General meeting is your opportunity to amend the Constitution. There will also be FREE PIZZA. If you feel that the student body could benefit from some changes, then this is your opportunity to leave your mark. Attached is the motion template and the current constitutions.

SOUTH WESTERN ONTARIO RETREAT – NOVEMBER 16TH TO 18TH
Looking to dive deeper into the Sustainable Development Goals? Join us at South Western Ontario Retreat (SWOR), here at Guelph from November 16th to 18th! SWOR provides a chance for all South Western Ontario Chapters to come together for a weekend of learning and building inter-chapter connections. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS FAIR – TUESDAY OCTOBER 30TH 5:30PM-8:30PM
We invite everyone to join us on the night of October 30th to discuss the Sustainable Development Goals and the reasons we care about them! The event is organized by EWB Guelph and the Sustainability Office and will run between 5:30 and 8:30pm. Various clubs and organizations located on and off campus will be joining us to discuss ways to create a better future for everyone by 2030. The event is accessible and free warm drinks will be provided!
THIRD YEAR ENGINEERING BOWLING NIGHT
Calling all THIRD year engineering students! Strike out on a couple midterms this semester? Why not put those skills to work where striking out is actually encouraged! So, come on out and play a few rounds of bowling with your peers. This event is exclusively for third year engineering students.

WEEKLY MEMBER LEARNING – ZERO WASTE WORKSHOP
Come make your own beeswax wrap, laundry detergent and tote bag with EWB, ESW and the Sustainability Office! All materials will be provided along with hot chocolate and candy! Don’t forget to bring your own mug and container (for candy or detergent made).
