Introduction
Hey Everybody!
Hope the start to everyone's semester is workin' out to be a good time, or close to it. Frosh week, Homecoming, Corn Roast, what more could you ask for right?
Anyways, I am trying a new thing this year. I am putting out an update in Snapp'd issues and on the website with information on what is going on with conferences, the Engineering Student Societies Council of Ontario (ESSCO), and the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students (CFES), so that hopefully you all know what is going on with the people and organizations that represent YOU.
Soooo, to start off, I have posted a whole bunch of stuff on the board outside EngSoc. Available for your very own viewing are a list of all the conferences that are run throughout the year and their summaries, as well as a copy of the application form that can be filled out if you would like to go to one (I will email out to everyone when we are accepting applications). As well there is a copy of the report template that delegates must complete after attending conferences, AND there are copies of 5 COMPLETED reports done by the delegates from ESSCO AGM, which occurred late last June. All of these are also available on the website, www.guelphengsoc.com, which everyone should check out cuz it is wickedly revamped.
Now after reading the summary all of these fantastic conferences (on the board or on the website, of course), you may be wondering... where do these gatherings of laughter and learning take place? Well...
CFES PM - University of Saskatchewan (Regina)
ESSCO PM - University of Ottawa (Ottawa)
NCWIE - Queens University (Kingston)
PEOSC - University of Toronto (Toronto)
CFES Congress - University of Alberta (Edmonton)
FYIC - University of Windsor (Windsor)
OEC - McMaster University (Hamilton)
CEC - University of Waterloo (Waterloo)
ESSCO AGM 2008 - Ryerson University (Toronto)
So apply for some fun times, I will let everyone know when to commence.
For now, stay classy.
And thanks for stopping by.
But mostly, stay classy.
Thanks for stopping by.
Jeff
