Every semester, EngSoc hosts its Semi-Annual General Meeting (SAGM). At this meeting every member of the School of Engineering is welcome to come discuss the accomplishments of the Society this semester and set the direction for the coming year. We also pass any amendments to the constitution, policy manuals, and lab fund constitution. This year the meeting will be held in the Thornbrough Atrium, Wednesday November 15th at 6:00 pm. Food will be provided.
Motions to Amend:
The constitutions and policy manuals of EngSoc may require amendment, and this is the place to do it! If there is a change you feel needs to be made to any of our governing documents, you can introduce a motion to amend.
This year, motions are submitted online: the form can be found here:
As motions are submitted, they will be made available on a shared OneDrive:
You can find the current governing documents here:
Current Constitution & Policy Manual : http://www.guelphengsoc.com/resources/official-documentation/
Current Lab Fund constitution: http://www.guelphengsoc.com/resources/lab-fund/
After the meeting, any motions to amend which are passed by the assembly will be incorporated in the governing documents. Per the Constitution, Article 7, Clause 3, the changes will be added provided they do not directly contradict a motion passed later, and other minor changes may be made to the document to ensure internal consistency.
If you have any questions about how to submit a motion, how to word a motion, or where in the current documents you can find specific details, please e-mail the Vice President of Internal Affairs at firstname.lastname@example.org!
