Engineering Events

Frosh Week

Frosh week gives new engineering students a chance to learn about engineering at Guelph and to meet their big buddies, upper year students who will show them the ropes. Engineering frosh week events include the Meet and Eat, Academic Lunch, Frosh Olympics, Beach Trip, and Scavenger Hunt

Homecoming

A chance to show the school our engineering spirit at the homecoming football game.

Corn Roast

Engineers, beer, BBQ, live music, and corn in a big field. What more could you want?

Iron Ring Ceremony

Fourth year students receive their Iron Rings, the symbol of the engineering profession in Canada.

Grad Party

Graduating students gather to celebrate the end of their undergraduate careers.

Banquet

A classy evening at the Italian Canadian Club with cocktails, a catered dinner, awards, and of course, dancing.

Charity Events

Teeter Totter-a-thon

Engineers keep a teeter totter going for 24 hours to raise money for charity.

Frauction (Frosh Auction)

First year students sell their skills in an auction to raise money for charity.

Competitions

Guelph Engineering Competition (GEC)

Compete against other teams in a design challenge.

Ontario Engineering Competition (OEC)

Winners of GEC go on to compete against teams from other schools.

Oktoberfest

Get your drink on at the Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest!

Brunny

A trip to the Brunswick House in Toronto.
